Sandy Hook Elementary Tribute

"Twenty Little Angels" will be available on iTunes the first of next week. All proceeds go to the Sandy Hook School Fund managed by the United Way of Western Connecticut. No administration fees are being deducted from the fund and all credit card fees are being waived.

Buddy Jewell appeared in our "Celebrity Series" at the Hank Williams Estate a few years ago and cooked over the open fire - and in the 2011 series, he returned to cook with us again, preparing recipes for the grill. Jazzed-Up Peach Cake Recipe

Sharing recipes and cooking tips is a big part of our daily life, as I generally cook every day, and we usually have friends over to eat with us. I recently baked a cake poolside and our friends could not believe such a moist, dense cake came out of a box! So, I thought I'd share my secret in this quick video. To bake your cake on a gas grill, it's best to have 3 or 4 burners. Turn on the two outside burners and heat to 350°. Use an oven-safe baking dish (I use silicone) in the middle - not over direct heat - and bake about 35-40 mins. Just keep an eye on the temp, and adjust to maintain 350°.
